Guest Portraits
As a thank you to our beautiful guests, we’ve arranged for a portrait photographer to capture you in your finery.
Whether solo, with family, or friends, we hope you’ll take a moment to pose for the camera and create a special keepsake from the day. The photographer will be available on the oceanfront lawn and inside the reception space near the dance floor. Feel free to stop by whenever the moment feels right.
4:00 PM – 6:00 PM | Ocean Lawn
6:00 PM – 10:00 PM | Rotunda Room
After The Tone
Instead of a traditional guest book, we’re doing something a little different. Look for a vintage rotary phone displayed throughout the reception. All you have to do is pick up the receiver, wait for the beep, and leave us a voicemail. Say whatever you’re feeling in the moment — a favorite memory, heartfelt wishes, marriage advice, juicy gossip... Be sweet, silly, sentimental, or downright strange — we’ll love it all. You're encouraged to leave more than one message as the night goes on. These will be cherished forever. Don’t be shy, pick up that phone. We can’t wait to hear your voice.

Your response means a lot, whether you’re celebrating in person or sending a cheers from afar. Thank you!
-
A bit of both! The ceremony will take place indoors at a church. At the hotel, cocktail hour will be outdoors on the ocean bluff (on grass), followed by dinner in a partially covered courtyard with tiled floors, and dancing inside the adjacent rotunda room.
Ladies, we will have heel protectors for you if you need them while we are on the lawn.
Additionally, even though it will be summer - Santa Barbara can get chilly at night with the ocean breeze. If you run cold, please plan accordingly if you run cold.
-
We kindly request Black Tie Optional attire. Let’s celebrate in style. Tuxedos are encouraged. A black suit and black tie may also be appropriate. Formal floor length gowns are encouraged. Elevated dresses at a tea length or longer may also be appropriate. Women can wear whatever color sparks joy. If you are unclear on the dress code, please reach out.

Not quite. The ceremony will take place at the Saint Barbara Greek Orthodox Church, while the rest of the celebration will be held at The Ritz-Carlton Bacara. Cocktail hour will be on the Ocean Bluff lawn, while dinner and dancing will be in the Rotunda room near the front of the hotel.
If at any point you are not sure where to go, please check in with the Bacara staff, they can guide you.

We recommend staying at The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, where the reception and weekend events will take place. There is a special rate extended to our guests. We also have a room block reserved at the Courtyard Marriot Downtown. For more information, such as booking links, please refer to the Travel & Accommodations page in the menu bar.
-
Yes. Guests can take a complimentary shuttle from either the Bacara (reception location) or the Courtyard Marriott to the church for the ceremony, and back to the reception afterward. You're also welcome to drive or use a ride share service like Uber or Lyft if you prefer. We will provide a shuttle schedule closer to the wedding date.
-
The ceremony will begin promptly at 2:30 PM. Late arrivals may be asked to wait until the wedding party processional has ended before being seated. We recommend arriving 15–30 minutes early to park, find your seat, and settle in—no need to come earlier than that!
If you're taking the shuttles, the schedule will be shared on our website closer to the day.
Thank you for helping us begin the celebration right on time!
-
Please take into consideration possible travel delays, especially if you're staying in more remote areas like wine country or driving in the day of the wedding. Some routes into Santa Barbara, like Highway 154 through the mountains, are two-lane roads that wind through hills and can be slow. Friday afternoon traffic from Los Angeles or Ventura can also be heavy on the 101. If you're relying on a rideshare service, please note that options may be limited in rural areas. We recommend planning ahead, checking traffic, and allowing extra time so you can arrive relaxed and on time.
